NO thanks of course to my son who has wrecked most of our Audio Visual equipment with his accomplice play-dough. Speaker above is ‘exhibit A’.

We’ve gone through: a video, two DVD players, speakers, keyboard, iPod speakers, a radiator and a camera.

Luckily warranties have covered at least some of these, but I’m getting twitchy I’ve increased the cover on the iMac and am definitely thinking of covering the camera when it (hopefully) comes back.

So far, I can safely say it’s been a year with some ups and downs.
We don’t have masses of news, everyone’s kept well.
Yvonne got a new job in July beating her retreat from her job at the Southern and taking a job up near Ayr. I’m still at Stirling Council. The flat was completely sorted out by January of this year, unfortunately we’ve got no chance of selling at the moment. Never mind, still got a roof over our head. So no more damp, although we’ve had a fair amount of plumbing disasters to sort out.
There is one big news items - Yvonne is pregnant and we’ endured the usual tests and so far everything seems to be OK - baby’s due in June ’09.
So Merry Christmas & a happy New Year to you and your family.

I disagree, although there are some inaccuracies in the trailer (yes you construct Star ships in orbit), the most important thing is that there’s a sense of excitement! Hard core fans tend to ignore the fat that the original ST often was slocky - more concerned with character than technology and generally impure regarding sci-fi concepts. It was fun and the new film seems to have gone back to being character driven, much superior I hope, to the Next generation films which just never took off.
